One night, my wife came home from work, anxious. She'd overheard a conversation about how equity can trigger devastating tax bills. How could we navigate this?
Nobody had answers. Neither my niche degree in personal financial planning nor passing the CFP exam prepared me to address equity. Scouring online yielded little. Let's face it, financial professionals aren't prepared to handle equity.
I decided to change this.
